FAB Software: Secure Financial Reports via the Web
Overview
FAB Software needed a fast, secure and robust way of allowing the financial advisors using their
Virgil financial management software to provide summary reports that their clients could download
via the web.
In partnership with our interface design friends at ZYPE, iopen put together a system to allow seamless,
secure and robust uploads of financial data from the Windows based Virgil client to the secure webreports
website. Using XML and XSLT technologies allowed IOPEN to validate the data and have it transformed into
the final report.
FAB Software chose to use the IOPEN colocation facilities to provide a dedicated server capable of
delivering a fast reporting service.
